Parents ask

Can my child start with no English?

Yes. Children can start with little or no English. Our teachers never push a child to speak: children listen and watch first, then start talking at their own pace.

English is the language of the school, and Thai language and culture classes are included. Our families come from more than fifteen countries.

The quiet first weeks

In a new place with a new language, it is normal for a child to go quiet for a while. They listen and watch before they speak. We never pressure a child to speak.

Trust grows through daily routines, songs, stories and play. In nursery and kindergarten, each child has a key person: one familiar teacher who builds a close bond with them and comforts them at goodbye. On the first day you can stay in the classroom for about an hour, so your child gets to know the teachers and the room.

Children start talking when they are ready.

In primary

Every child gets lessons at their own level. Last year one class held a child who spoke no English, a child with dyslexia and a child who had taught herself to read at two and a half. Each got lessons pitched to them, in the same room.

Come and see

Visits are private tours on school days, so you see real lessons. Bring your child, and ask the teachers anything.

Come on a school day

The best way to judge a school is on an ordinary day. Bring your child; they'll tell you more than we can.
